How Classcope handles classification information.
Classcope is designed around traceability: users should be able to see where regulatory information comes from and distinguish official text from Classcope analysis.
Source-first
Classification rules, definitions, criteria and procedures are taken from authoritative sources such as the IPC Classification Code and International Federation classification rules.
Where possible, Classcope records the organisation, document title, version, article or section, effective date and official source so that information can be traced back to the underlying rule.
Official text and analysis
Official text is kept separate from any explanation, comparison or analysis created by Classcope.
Classcope does not invent Sport Classes, Eligible Impairments, MIC, procedures, tests or regulatory requirements. Where information is incomplete, uncertain or version-dependent, that limitation should be made visible rather than silently filled in.
Professional review
The platform is structured and reviewed with specialist classification knowledge. This professional layer supports source selection, terminology, relationships between rules and the identification of points that require human review.
Classcope remains independent and does not replace the interpretation or decisions of the relevant governing body or authorised Classification Panel.
